★ Meet Kate

Creative Designer and Vocalist Kate Barr has always been obsessed with the idea of expressing herself through music and design. Whether it’s singing on stage or designing an Album release campaign, Barr never slows on her passion of turning her deep understanding of music into tangible design.

Born in Iowa, and moving to the Chicago suburbs shortly after, she started piano lessons, orchestra, theatre, and choir early. Putting karaoke shows on in her childhood basement and creating music videos just for herself, Barr was always trying to scratch that creative itch in any form of media. Eventually, a dedication to learning the art of her own singing voice brought her from voice lessons in high school to Belmont University in Nashville where she graduated from the Commercial Voice program with honors in 2025.

While pursuing her emphasis in Music Business at Belmont, Barr discovered that she could concretely connect her musical knowledge, vocal prowess, and love of design into a career. After graduating in May of 2025, Barr earned the opportunity to intern remotely, then work as Creative Design and Asset Coordinator, for Mariami Bibilouri’s indie music label / digital marketing agency based in New York City, Sungate Records. Barr has experience designing content and merch, assisting in creative ideation, and boosting social media engagement for everyone from indie and emerging artists to high profile brand collaborations.

Now based in Nashville, Kate is following her dreams of a career in the Music Industry doing freelance work for Sungate and local artists, as well as teaching voice lessons on the side to all of her wonderful students!
